Ninth State's Professional Instructors have over 100 years of combined experience along with numerous masters degrees, certifications and professional experience in dance, movement, boxing, martial arts and professional instruction.
Kathy Adams - Spin, Group Strength & Step Aerobics
Kathy Adams: ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor - 20 yrs.!, Star Level 2 Spinning Certified, Group Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Pilates Mat 3 Certified. Enjoy hiking, biking, walking and running, golf, Cross Country Skiing and most outdoor activities! Kathy has one daughter entering her first year of college at JMU in VA. She is married and enjoys traveling to the Caribbean and playing golf with her husband Bill.!
Holly Allen - Spin, Resist-A-Ball & Yoga
Holly Allen is a Hatha yoga, cycle & ball trained: Yogafit levels 1 & 2 Certified. Resist-A-Ball level 2 Certified. Mad Dogg Athletics Certified instructor. Currently she is employed at the Plymouth Animal Hospital as Head Technician, and most likely knows your pet(s)! She enjoys hiking the big peaks, diving in the deep blue and living heathy. She is presently pursuing her Yoga Alliance Certification in the Anusar style.
Dana M. Bean - Karate
Dana has over 23 years of martial arts training. He is a 6th Degree Black Belt, Shihan (Master), under Pete Porter 10th Degree Grandmaster, Hanshi (Grandmaster) in Okinawan & Japanese karate. Dana has won of over 56 individual championships titles at all levels of competition over his 17yrs competitive career. He is also registered with The Japanese Ministry of Education to teach martial arts. He follows the traditional path in martial arts having trained both here in the US and in Japan.

Sarah Breslin - Pilates, Spin & Bootcamp, Owner Pilatesophy
Sarah first fell in love with Pilates in 2000. She began training thru STOTT Pilates and completed Level 1 & Level II Mat, Reformer Level I, and Anatomy for Functional Training in May, 2007. She has also received certifications thru Mad Dogg Athletics for SPINNING, the Pilates Academy International for Cardiolates, and the American Heart Association for CPR/AED. Sarah firmly believes in the connection between mind and body, and views Pilates as a conduit for both physical and mental change. Kathie Fornier -Yoga
Kathie has been practicing Yoga for over 10 years. She was trained and certified at Kripal Yoga Center – Yoga for Depression and Anxiety, trained and certified with Tom Sherman in Bija Ananda Yoga and with AsaDustin in Ashtanga Yoga.
Tim Fly - Personal Trainer
Tim has been involved in weight training and fitness for over 30 years. In the mid 90's he majored in exercise science at the University of Rhode Island, where he also acquired his American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer Certification. For the first two years of his career he was trained by one of the highest rest respected trainers in the state on the finer points of personal training. In the 10 years since then he has been helping clients from all walks of life achieve their personal fitness goals. Though he considers his philosophy to be "results oriented", his clients say they are having so much fun they can't believe how fast the time flies. Tim welcomes clients with nearly any fitness goal and is available at many convenient times. Tim may be contacted thru the Ninth State.
Erica Gilbert - Assistant Dance Director & Zumba Instructor
Assistant Director Erica Gilbert is a graduate of PSU with a dance and health degree. A former member of PSU's Contemporary Dance Ensemble and the PSU Dance Team, she has studied with the Dance Teachers Club of Boston and interned at the famous Broadway Dance Center in New York City. She stays current with the trends in dance by continually attending master workshops with the dance elite in both Boston and NYC. She is a certified group fitness instructor, certified cheerleading judge and certified Zumba Instructor. She is also a danced professionally with the Lady Wolf's The Manchester Wolves areana football Dance Team and most recently won "Dancing with The Community Stars".
Christian Jakubowski - Boxing Coach
Christian has been boxing and coaching boxing for more than 15 years. He was the winner of the Middle Weight Golden Gloves in Detroit, MI as well as the Motor City Diamond Gloves and Wild Card Games. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he served as President of the U of M Boxing Club for three years. He has also trained and coached at Uncle Sam's Boxing Gym in Troy, NY and the Santa Clara PAL Boxing Gym in Santa Clara, CA. He is USA Boxing certified to coach boxing and operate a gym.
Jenn Leonzi – Cardio Kick Boxing & Zumba Instructor
Jen is no stranger to the fitness world in our region. She has taught a variety of fitness classes at Plymouth State University and other regional locations. In addition to extensive training in fitness, Jenny also has a strong dance background and trained amongst other schools at Steps on Broadway in NYC. Her Cardio kickboxing is a high-energy combination of aerobics, boxing and martial arts. This class is definitely a “full body workout” that will prove results. Jen is also a certified Zumba instructor, her classes without a doubt are sure to make you smile and bust a move. You may also recognize Jenny as The owner of The Country Cow, a yummy restaurant in Campton that we strongly recommend. (please note - a ninth state staff member other than Jenny added this last line.)
Carole Ann E. Morrison – Owner & Director & Zumba Instructor
Carole received her formative ballet training in the Vaganova method under the direction of Robin Deet, former director of The New School of Ballet in Schenectady, NY and Leanne Sweet current faculty at The Saratoga City Ballet. As a youth she studied (and a few times performed) with members of the New York City Ballet during their annual summer stay at their “2nd home”, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Carole went on to receive her MFA in Choreography and Performance from the State University of New York at Brockport, with an emphasis in modern and ballet. She taught for 6 years at Plymouth State University in the Music, Theatre and Dance department and created and developed the Dance Pedagogy and Ballet program at PSU. In 2003 she completed the 6-year Vaganova syllabus certification conducted by John White of Pennsylvania Ballet Society. Carole is a certified Zumba and Zumba Gold Instructor. In 1999 Carole founded the Ninth State Movement Complex (formerly Ballet Plymouth & BP studios). Carole also served as Executive Director of Friends of the Arts, a 34-year-old non-profit organization, which provides affordable art education programs throughout Central NH.
Teese Mosenthal - Personal Trainer
Teese received her M.S. in Exercise Physiology from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a group exercise leader and fitness testing specialist. She has spent several years working in corporate fitness; performing fitness testing and implementing individual and group exercise programs. She has taught fitness classes for the YMCA, Health East, and Dartmouth College. Teese has taken a hiatus from the fitness world to raise her four children, but has stayed active hiking, biking and skiing with her family. She is excited about working in the fitness field again and particularly to help those people who may be intimidated about starting an exercise program for various reasons. Amber Schaefer- Personal Trainer; Boxing Coach
Amber is a certified Personal Trainer through The American College of Sports Medicine and a U.S.A Boxing athlete. She is the winner of The 2009 Vermont Golden Gloves in the Female division in her weight class. As a Personal Trainer Amber understands the importance of diversity in any workout program and integrates the skills and exercises of traditional boxing practices along with traditional training methods. As an athlete Amber has been particularly drawn to individual sports such as boxing, rock climbing and surfing. With those experiences in mind Amber enjoys designing workouts which are fun, effective and appealing to a variety of persons looking to achieve personal health and fitness. Kristy Vollmer - SPIN & YOGA
AFAA Certified group fitness instructor since 1994; Johnny G Spinning Certified; Physical Mind Institute Pilates CertifiedResist-a-ball Level 2 Certified; Yogafit Level 3 Certified; M.Ed. Health Education; likes a good movie, good food, time with family and friends; she is always ready for a hike, bike ride or snow adventure; “teaching is my passion, for fitness and health!”
Craig Willey -
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt Instructor Craig W. Willey teaches all classes. Craig has over 17 years of experience training in the martial arts and has competed throughout the northeast in BJJ Gi and No-gi matches. Craig has trained amateur MMA fighters and has trained with professional MMA fighters. Craig trains under the instruction of Professor Julio "Foca" Fernandez. Craig has attended seminars or classes with Marcello Garcia, Royce Gracie, Relson Gracie, Kenny Florian, Pat Miletich, Rodrigo Medeiros, and of course Carlson Gracie Sr..
